Shania Twain impersonator, Ashley Hayes, based in Nashville, TN, has been performing as “Shania Twang," a Tribute to Shania Twain, for a number of years.  Formerly a tribute artist in Las Vegas, she performs at corporate and private events internationally, and has worked for companies including, but not limited to, Southwest Airlines, Pepsico, Konica, Brother, PromoHeadquarters.com, Boy Scounts of America, , Community Health Systems, etc., as well as at numerous corporate events for Gaylord Entertainment at Gaylord-Opryland Resort and Convention Center, Country Music Hall of Fame, the General Jackson Showboat, and the world-famous Wildhorse Saloon. 

Voted the “Best Shania Twain Tribute” five years in a row, Ashley not only looks like Shania, but sounds and moves just like her!  (She was contacted three separate times(!) by the NBC show, "The Next Best Thing" to perform, but was unable to, because of prior commitments.)

Ashley comes from a musical family where both her parents were singers (Dad, in the Barbershop Quartet, and Mom in Sweet Adelines), and Ashley grew up listening to – and imitating! – everyone from a young Michael Jackson to Loretta Lynn!  But, her professional singing career kicked in when she was chosen as one of the Top Five finalists in Los Angeles for a nationwide “Patsy Cline” search.  At that time, she was handpicked by the producer of that show to move to Las Vegas to perform as one of five female lead singers in a revue called “Nashville USA” at the former Boomtown Hotel & Casino where, among other artists, she performed as “Tammy Wynette.”    When that show ended, she was hired for a year-long show in Japan to perform as the featured (and only!) singer, as well as a dancer in “The Show Goes On” in Atami (where she sang in English and Japanese!)

Upon her return to the States, she formed a band, “Ashley Hayes & Southern Strut,” and continually toured the casino circuits of Nevada and Arizona.  (She and her band were also the FIRST country band to ever perform at the legendary Hollywood Athletic Club in Los Angeles!)  It was at this time that she began imitating Shania.  The response was truly amazing, and she was encouraged to actually start impersonating her – which she did, upon her arrival in Nashville several years ago, shortly after performing, by invitation, in front of 17,000 people at a Nashville Predators Hockey Game.
